Assessment and Accreditation—oversee 5-year program review, provide guidance for non-accredited major program assessment, support assessment of accredited major programs, oversee general education assessment, serve on Assessment Advisory Board (AAB)
Curriculum— oversee curriculum development (e.g., new and revised programs and courses) for registered programs (bachelor’s, master’s, and certificates) in the School, as well as dozens of local minor programs and all courses; keep abreast of and provide guidance on new curriculum initiatives (e.g., certificates, micro credentials, and combined pathways); oversee annual catalog review, academic roadmaps, advising (serve on Academic Advising Advisory Council), registration (e.g., FY registration processes, enrollment management analysis); serve on Accessibility Team
Enrollment management—review department course schedules each semester to coordinate course offerings and student enrollment with chairs; manage part-time faculty hiring, contracts, and oversight of scheduling; monitor full-time faculty workloads, including sabbaticals and course releases; follow topic course proposal policy; oversee course input and change notices; perform enrollment management data analysis, as needed (e.g., open seats, low-enrolled courses); student and faculty data
Faculty development—new faculty orientation; new chair training; informal consultation with faculty; promote campus professional development opportunities; workshop development (e.g., faculty advising, disruptive students), as needed; serve on the Research and Creativity Council (RCC)
